Google never counted your characters
Pixels, not characters
“Illinois litigation” and “WWW Marketing” are both 20 characters and differ by nearly 100 pixels. Character-count checkers pass one and fail the other for the wrong reason.
Truncation costs clicks
A title cut mid-word loses the part that earns the click — usually the modifier or brand at the end. Seeing where the cut lands is the fastest way to fix it.
